"I think ultimately what God wants is to refine us in this homeschooling process. It's not like we're the ones that have it together and we're teaching these children to get it together. It's that we're all people that need refined, and we're all people that need to depend on the Lord. And it's just something we're all working through together." - Aby Rinella
Yvette Hampton and Aby Rinella share their vision for a fun-filled homeschooling year. Aby discusses the benefits of literature-based learning, the challenges of balancing multiple cores, and how audiobooks have become an invaluable resource. With insights into teaching anatomy and physiology, Aby also shares how they are fostering their daughters' love for God's Word and engaging in interactive learning activities. Join us as we embark on a journey of homeschooling success and personal growth!

Have you ever had to switch or change curricula in the middle of the school year? How did it affect your homeschooling dynamic? Would you recommend the Foundation Worldview curriculum based on the speaker's endorsement?

Discuss the importance of studying God's Word in your homeschooling journey. How do you ensure that your children receive strong biblical teaching and have opportunities to explore the truth?
What are your experiences with field trips and how they have enriched your homeschooling. Have you discovered any hidden gems or unknown places in your local area?

What does the Bible say about training the hearts of our children? Join Yvette Hampton and Aby Rinella in this "best of" episode of the Schoolhouse Rocked Podcast. This was Aby's first time on the show and she and Yvette discussed what the Bible calls us to as parents, especially in regards training the hearts of our children.
Aby Rinella is, above all, a follower of Jesus. She is also the director of her local homeschool co-op, director of women’s ministry at her church, wife, mom and teacher to the Rinella children. She writes and speaks on homeschool, motherhood, parental rights, the culture war and more and has a passion for encouraging and inspiring women to live the life they were designed to live.
Aby and her husband also write for the outdoor industry about their adventures together, showing their kids the Creator by spending time in His creation.
Come back Wednesday and Thursday to hear from Eric Hovind in another "best of" conversation.

"Why do I homeschool? Because today my children will be at home with me, learning about the catastrophic events that happened in New York. About the evil that happens when we deviate from God's design. And about how we have a God that mourns because he loves his people. They will be home with me, praying for the preborn babies, rather than in a public school system that tells them they get to choose for themselves what is good and evil, rather than looking to God for truth." - Aby Rinella

Psalm 1 Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

In all that he does, he prospers.
4 The wicked are not so,

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,

6 for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.

Yvette Hampton is a homeschool mom through and through, but it wasn’t supposed to be this way. Like so many other homeschoolers, Yvette and her husband, Garritt, said they would NEVER homeschool their kids, but God had other plans. She is the producer and host of the upcoming documentary, Schoolhouse Rocked: The Homeschool Revolution, being directed by her husband, Garritt Hampton. She is also host of The Schoolhouse Rocked Podcast. As a mom who is concerned for the future of this generation and the future of our country, Yvette has a deep passion to see a culture shift by encouraging people through the truth of God’s Word. Her greatest joy in life is being a wife and mom!
Aby Rinella is a former public school teacher turned passionate homeschool mom. Aby resides in the mountains of the west with her college sweetheart and 3 awesome kids where they enjoy all things outdoors. She is a writer and speaker seeking to encourage and inspire women to live the life they were designed to live, to train up their children in God’s Word, and to stand on truth in a culture that has lost its foundation.
Scripture References:
1 Corinthians 13:1-13
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogantor rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”
Galatians 5:16-24
”But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

SUMMER BREAK!
A great reset for homeschool families; a time to reflect on the last year and prepare for the next. A time for the kids to unwind and run free. But, as with anything, we know that there is always an opportunity to have the blessings robbed if we do not protect these special times.
But take heart, you can make this the best summer yet; a summer full of fun and memories, with learning and growth woven in. You can turn that boredom into opportunity all while getting the much-needed break you have been waiting for!*

This documentary will impact countless lives by…• Encouraging families who aren’t yet homeschooling to dive in!• Bringing much needed encouragement and resources to current homeschool families so they will stay the course.• Breaking down the misconceptions and negative stereotypes that many people believe about homeschooling.
ABOUT THE FILM
“This is not an exaggeration to say, this is the movement that is needed to save this country.”– Rick Green, Wallbuilders
“We believe homeschooling is critically important if we are to save our republic and the Christian family and church.”– Kirk Cameron, Actor and Producer
Schoolhouse Rocked: The Homeschool Revolution is a feature-length documentary currently in post-production. We are asking the homeschool community, and supporters of this movement, to partner with us in spreading the message that homeschooling is good for students, good for families, and good for culture by bringing Schoolhouse Rocked to theaters nationwide.
The film is intended to break down common misconceptions about homeschooling, encourage a flood of new families to homeschool, and equip those already homeschooling to do it well. The film follows host, Yvette Hampton, as she travels the country with her family, meeting other homeschoolers and education experts in an effort to learn the secrets of successful homeschooling and to tell the story of the millions of people who have been impacted by the homeschool revolution. As viewers follow Yvette on this journey and share in her challenges and victories, they will gather the necessary resources and encouragement to homeschool with excellence — to start strong and finish well!

How do we remain steadfast at home while the world is seemingly on fire? We turn to God’s Word and heed His instructions to us. We MUST gird up and teach our kids to do the same. He is a merciful God with a great plan and, like Queen Esther, He has each one of us here for such a time as this!
Join Yvette Hampton and Aby Rinella for this encouraging conversation on the important role of mothers and how to live with courage.
